Android 5.0 Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy S5 – Update on Rollout Status

The device was rolled out on February 2, 2015 in Russia and later extended to India. The LTE-A model has also been updated to the recent Android Lollipop OS earlier this February. The updated device would make its first appearance in Germany, Slovakia and Czech Republic.
There is some respite for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 users, with the device likely to get the latest Android v5.0 Lollipop operating system. The South Korean giant made an announcement in Poland, but the Company failed to come out with estimated time of arrival for its updated version.
The latest Android v5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S4, S5, Note 3 and Note 4 rolled out in different phases. It implies that not all users would receive updates simultaneously. When the update is ready to be installed on the terminal, you would receive a notification for system update. You are required to tap on the update, select ‘Download now’. After the update is downloaded on your device, select ‘Install now’ option. Alternatively, the user can select update manually by exploring into the “Settings” option. The user can check for updates in ‘Software Updates’ section under ‘About Phone’ option.
