Whether you own an iPhone 5, 4S, 4 or 3GS, you might get a famous “No Service” error after jailbreak or unlock. Fortunately, there are number of ways to fix this issue. Some of our customers also face this problem after unlocking their AT&T iPhone by using our service and ask us to solve this error.
No Service error is most common in iPhone 3GS because they installed iPad baseband in the device and unlocked it through UltraSn0w.  It can also occur after using SAM activation tickets.

Please keep in mind that if your phone is locked to AT&T then it’ll not accept any SIM other than AT&T. If you’re getting No Service error, it means that your handset has accepted the SIM and there are some other reasons for this problem. In this guide, we’ll tell you about various methods to solve this issue.

Fix No Service Error On iPhone

1- This method works most of the time. It requires resetting your Network settings.
  • Insert any SIM card that is not compatible and head over to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. If it doesn’t fix the problem, you can choose “Reset All Settings” option but before using this option don’t forget to backup your important data to iCloud or iTunes.

2- Another solution is to turn on and off your phone’s Airplane Mode.
  • Use some non-compatible SIM card.
  • Turn on the Airplane Mode in Settings.
  • Shut down your iPhone by holding the power button.
  • Turn on your device and turn off the Airplane Mode.

3- Remove the SIM from your phone while it’s on and then shut it down. Insert the SIM again and turn it on. Your device should be able to get the signals.
4- Go to Settings > General > Cellular in iOS 6 and previous firmwares and Settings > Cellular in iOS 7. Turn on Cellular Data and 3G. If they’re already on, turn them off and wait for the signals. If you still see no signals, restart the device and check them again.
5- Sometimes, activation and deactivation of your iPhone by using Redsn0w or by SAM activation tickets can be the culprit. If this is the case, try this procedure.
  • Insert SIM card other than original one and connect your handset to the Computer.
  • Backup your device and do a restore by putting your phone in DFU mode.
  • After restoration process is complete, you’ll get two options. One is to “Set up as a new iPhone” and second one as “Restore from Backup”. Choose the first option.
  • Bypass the activation steps and wait for the signals.

6- iPhone 3G and 3GS owners with iPad baseband 6.15.00 installed should try downgrading their baseband to 5.13.04 by using Redsn0w.
  • Download Redsn0w and run it as Administrator.
  • Head over to Extras > Just Boot and follow on-screen instructions to Enter DFU mode.
  • Restore your device with iTunes and enter DFU mode again.
  • Download latest iOS firmware and run Redsn0w. Go to Extras > Select and choose the iOS firmware you just downloaded.
  • Go back to Main Menu and select “Jailbreak” option.
  • Untick install Cydia option and choose downgrade from iPad baseband option.
7-  If all of the above methods fail, it might be the case of no coverage of the carrier in your area for time being or it might be because of faulty antenna in your iPhone.
